We at North Walsham in Bloom would like to wish all our supporters and followers a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We have great plans for 2014 with new flower beds to plan and several new plant towers to fill with bedding in the spring. Things in ‘ In Bloom’ never stand still and already we have placed our order for the June planting from our supplier. We are hoping the new schemes will be the best yet and look forward to the new year as we always do.
We have started our autumn planting as of yesterday and all is going well at the moment in spite of the weather. We have sorted our big beds on the local bypass and will be moving into the town tomorrow. All the tubs will have a mixture of plants for the winter and the Church Cross will have mostly daffs and tulips. This is new for us as we usually do bedding in some form or other, but we felt like a change this year.
We are very pleased to let you all know that our lovely coffee morning last Thursday raised a total of £271.00 for our Pat’s memorial fund. We can now go ahead with all we want to do in her memory.
Our coffee morning is in aid of Pat Stott, we are hoping to plant a tree near Bluebell Pond on 17th October which would have been her 83rd birthday.
We will be holding a Coffee Morning on Thursday 22nd August to raise funds for a memorial to one of our staunch helpers who died recently. This will be held in St Benets Hall in North Walsham from 9 until 12. We have a lovely raffle with some really good prizes.
We at In Bloom are pleased to announce that we now have a blog.
